Junior Perpetual Trophy Program
OCD Junior members may accumulate points toward the OCD Junior trophy by flying in both outdoor and indoor contests. The trophy will go to the Junior who earns the most points during each calendar year. A Junior is defined as an OCD member 18 years old or younger as of July 1 of the competition year. To be eligible for the trophy, a junior must compete in at least one outdoor contest and one indoor contest. The point schedule is; 5 points for 1st, 4 for 2nd, etc., down to 5th and on at 1 point.
Junior outdoor events will be the same as the scheduled Open events, plus a separate Junior category will be added to Open Rubber, but with no restrictions on airplane size or amount of rubber. Juniors may also enter the Open events to score additional points if their airplane meets the Open rules.
Separate Junior categories will be held at each indoor contest. A Junior may also enter the Open events for additional points if his/her airplane meets the Open rules. OCD indoor contests will be held on Sunday evenings from 4 to 8 PM at Moreland San Jose Community Center Gym. The address is 1850 Fallbrook Avenue in San Jose. Fallbrook is off Campbell Avenue between Saratoga Avenue and San Tomas Expressway. Flyers 18 or over pay $6 and flyers under 18 pay $3 for the facility use.
Rules for Dandiflyer, Pussycat, and OCD Scale have been published. One exception will be scoring. The winner will be the person with the best two-flight total. Entry fee will be $.25 for three flights with one reentry (6 flights total). Entry plus re-entry will be considered as one series, so best two out of total of all flights taken will be scored. Winner in each event takes the pot.
